Excellence in Occupational Testing

AUDIOMETRIC TESTING

Audiometric testing is the evaluation of an individual’s ability to hear. JSC’s audiometric testing units are mobile, self-contained and operated by highly certified audiometric technicians. For your convenience we are able to provide mobile audiometric testing on-site at your location. This time effective option offers the ability to test between 50 - 100 employees in a 10 hour shift. We strive to offer remarkable and reliable service to our customers and will accommodate their schedules and time frames.

According to OH&S legislation, audiometric testing must be provided at the employers’ expense, to employees exposed to working environments of 82 decibels or greater. Baseline testing should be performed within 6 months of hire.

A follow-up test should be conducted within a year after the initial baseline test and every two years following. If there is a high turnover of employees, it is recommended that employers conduct audiometric testing annually. Judy's Safety Company also provides complete hearing conservation programs to ensure compliance with legislative requirements designed to protect employees from noise induced hearing loss. We also offer individual testing scheduled at each employee's convenience.

CUSTOM MOLDED EAR PLUGS

Judy's Safety custom molded ear plugs are customized to fit your ears with greater comfort and maximum attenuation value. When made correctly, they provide a reliable "tissue-to-tissue" fit duplicating every crevice and contour of the ear, which allows the user to wear these earplugs for extended periods of time without discomfort, irritation or constant removal from the ear for re-insertion.

The most common custom molded earplugs are: 1) Filtered earplugs - these allow the user to hear conversation while still being protected against noise exposure. The average Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is 24 - 26 dB. 2) Solid earplugs - these offer the user the best protection against noise and are most commonly recommended for employees who are highly noise exposed on the job. The average Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is 30 - 32 dB.

Judy's Safety Custom molded ear plugs are made with a super soft hydrophobic silicone that are custom fit to your ear! We can even take the time to outfit these molds with acoustical filters which will provide excellent protection against high level impulse noises ranging from 140-190 dB. They are produced in a variety of brilliant colors that can be swirled together or customize them further by adding glitter. Our custom molded ear plugs can even be made to Glow-In-The-Dark, these become so intensely bright after minutes of light exposure that you'd swear they were battery operated!
